Features & Configuration: Video Wall Setup

Overview

Video wall mode distributes a single source image across a grid of displays. Each decoder renders its assigned portion. Exclusive to the JPEG2000 codec with the AVO-IPCTL-JP2K controller.

Requirements

  • JPEG2000 encoders/decoders: AVO-IPJP2K, AVO-IPJP2KS, or AVO-IPJP2KD
  • AVO-IPCTL-JP2K IP Controller
  • Managed 1G switch with IGMP snooping and MTU 9000

Supported Layouts

2×2, 3×3, 4×4, up to 9×9 (81 displays). Custom and mixed grid configurations supported.

Configure Video Wall

  1. Open the AVO-IPCTL-JP2K web GUI and go to Video Wall.
  2. Click New Wall and select a grid layout (e.g., 3×3).
  3. Drag each decoder to its grid position matching its physical location.
  4. Enter bezel compensation (horizontal and vertical in mm).
  5. Select the encoder source and click Apply.

Bezel Compensation

Measures the inner bezel (black border between panel content areas) in millimeters. Crops the image so it appears continuous across all panels. Measure the inner edge — not the outer frame.

Switching Sources

Route a different encoder to the wall group via the controller GUI or REST API without reconfiguring the layout.
